Sam Rutherford-President/CEO

Sam Rutherford has accumulated nearly 40 years experience in the compressed air and gas industry. Starting out in as a mechanics helper for an industrial equipment distributor in Arkansas, and eventually taking on a sales position and managing a sales territory for that region, Sam had the opportunity to spend many years selling and servicing two stage double acting reciprocating compressors that were the predominant compressors of that time. In addition, Sam was active in the industry at the time when rotary screw technology was starting to gain a foothold and watched the rotary screw compressor develop into what it is today.

As early as 1980, before most compressor owners were even aware of the true cost of owning and operating compressors, Sam began designing and selling systems based on energy savings, a concept that was almost unheard of at the time. Being one of the true pioneers of the compressed air audit, he has traveled the country performing air energy audits and conducting educational training classes on the efficient operation of compressed air systems.

Mr. Rutherford currently is president of Air Industrial Resource, Inc., a Kansas City based compressed air and vacuum distributor with offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Dallas. Sam also presides over Air Energy Solutions, a company whose sole purpose is to perform air energy audits and educate the end user on ways to reduce the cost of compressed air.

Scott Ewart – Sales & General Manager

Scott has been in the air compressor business for over 21 years. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in Engineering. His duties include sales, customer service, business development, marketing, and product line-up.

Joe Barnes - Territory Manager -DFW

Joe holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Texas-Arlington. Having represented such manufacturers as Sullair, Atlas Copco and Gardner Denver, Joe has over 20 years of experience in industrial compressed air equipment sales.

Joyce Brown- Accounting Manager

Joyce has been employed by Air Industrial Resource since 1994. She attended Central Missouri State University, UMKC and the Sullair credit and collection conference in Michigan City. She is responsible for all phases of the corporate accounting including sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate business, as well as human resources. Her hobbies include oil painting and gardening.

Larry Fenter - DFW

Larry has been employed by Air Industrial Resource for the past 10 years. He attended The University of Texas Austin and Lubbock Christian University with emphasis on Business Management. He has worked in the Industrial Pneumatic field for over 35 years.

Jake Rutherford- Tulsa and OKC

Jake has been with Air Industrial Resource for 5 years.  He received parts management and customer service training at Sullair Corporation in Michigan City in August, 2005; has also attend the Summit Oil trainee program in Tyler, Tx.

Ken Mason- KC, OKC, and Tulsa

Ken has been employed with Air Industrial Resource for the past 3 years.

He graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Industrial Technology.  He is responsible for Service Management in Kansas City, Tulsa; and Oklahoma City.
